It is impossible to eliminate oily skin, but with a few skin care tips oily skin can be minimized. Dirt and daily oils from skin do not cause acne; however, indirectly they do. Toxins should also be eliminated; this includes margarine and hydrogenated fats, sugars, aspartame, mono sodium glutamate (MSG), fried foods, and alcoholic drinks. Foods which discourage oily skin are primarily organics such as vegetables.

The pores around the nose are also larger because of the larger oil glands. Sebaceous glands are also found along the back, neck, and chest. There is no way to completely eliminate oily skin; the amount of oil produce is based purely on genetics. During puberty oil glands are more active, which sometimes is the cause of acne.
