Spotting damage caused by the sun is a fairly easy process. In early adult hood damaged skin is easier to spot. Wrinkles should feel harsh and coarse if they were caused by over exposure. It is used to reduce bacteria and cleanse pores. The first few uses may cause irritation, but the skin will become accustomed to it over time. Topical antibiotics are used in cases of mild acne. It is a cream which is applied twice a day to reduce bacteria and redness. Topical antibiotics are only available by prescription. Topical vitamin A derivatives are used to help eliminate blackheads, whiteheads and unclogging pores. This is also only available by prescription.

There is no way to completely eliminate oily skin; the amount of oil produce is based purely on genetics. During puberty oil glands are more active, which sometimes is the cause of acne.
