There is a positive correlation between the amount of ultra-violet light and skin care damage. For this reason we can conclude that there is no such thing as a good or safe tan. Those who are constantly working outdoors are more likely to be a victim to photo damage. Similar to the sun, smoking is another factor which cases skin damage. It accelerates skin aging, and also has a chance of causing skin cancers.

Dermocosmetics are products which are actually a fusion between medicine and cosmetics. Dermocosmetics are a combination of formulas used to prevent oily skin, while providing comfort. They are versatile and able to use during other skin treatments. These products include cleansers, active care, moisturizers, and camouflage. Cleansers are used to control oil without irritating the skin. Active care is formulas used to remove dead skin and unclog pores. Moisturizers are used for combination skin which requires smoothing from irritation. Camouflages are used to hide acne spots while reducing irritation.

The pores around the nose are also larger because of the larger oil glands. Sebaceous glands are also found along the back, neck, and chest. There is no way to completely eliminate oily skin; the amount of oil produce is based purely on genetics. During puberty oil glands are more active, which sometimes is the cause of acne.
