Before learning how to treat oily skin, we first must discuss what causes it. The oil found primarily on the face is produced by glands called the sebaceous glands. Toxins should also be eliminated; this includes margarine and hydrogenated fats, sugars, aspartame, mono sodium glutamate (MSG), fried foods, and alcoholic drinks. Foods which discourage oily skin are primarily organics such as vegetables.
