There is a positive correlation between the amount of ultra-violet light and skin care damage. For this reason we can conclude that there is no such thing as a good or safe tan. Treatments for oily skin include Benzoyl peroxide, topical antibiotics, and topical vitamin A derivatives. Benzoyl peroxide is a product which can be attained without prescriptions. It is used to reduce bacteria and cleanse pores. The first few uses may cause irritation, but the skin will become accustomed to it over time. Topical antibiotics are used in cases of mild acne. It is a cream which is applied twice a day to reduce bacteria and redness. Topical antibiotics are only available by prescription. Topical vitamin A derivatives are used to help eliminate blackheads, whiteheads and unclogging pores. This is also only available by prescription.

Remember that you should only reduce consumption not eliminated. Toxins should also be eliminated; this includes margarine and hydrogenated fats, sugars, aspartame, mono sodium glutamate (MSG), fried foods, and alcoholic drinks. Foods which discourage oily skin are primarily organics such as vegetables.
