The sun is an important aspect of everyday life. It regulates the earth's time, gives life to the earth, and is essential to our survival; however, it does harm out skin. It takes months for any positive changes to occur. Medical treatments include creams and gels which have an abundance of vitamin A. Chemical peels are also used to remove damaged layers to promote regeneration. Chemical peels have higher chances of pigmentations and scarring. Skin fillers are only used with patients with deep wrinkles. In the procedure of skin fillers, certain treatments are injected into the skin to fill wrinkled areas. Although skin fillers have an instantaneous affect, its benefits only last 3 to 6 months. Botox is a similar treatment to skin fillers.

The pores around the nose are also larger because of the larger oil glands. Sebaceous glands are also found along the back, neck, and chest. There is no way to completely eliminate oily skin; the amount of oil produce is based purely on genetics. During puberty oil glands are more active, which sometimes is the cause of acne.
